Spottt, a link/banner exchange launched today allowing website owners to advertise their sites for free on other websites.

Spottts are 125 x 125 pixel graphics that link from your web page to another, and vice-versa. For every two times a Spottt is shown on your site, your Spottt will appear once on another site.

adgridworkFree link exchange has all but gone wayside over that last few years. It was all the rage with webrings and banner exchange sites, but recently there has been some revival in the market. Spottt is very similar to another popular link exchange site called adgridwork.com. I have used adgridwork before and it worked, I got a few hits to my site. you really need to analyze the value of your website real estate before putting any free link exchange on it.

The revival is due to easy to create web applications that cost little to no money and have the opportunity to bring in millions in either VC or from an acquisition. Many of the internet 2.0 leaders use this approach including Guy Kawasaki, who just release alltop.com. Alltop is a website feed aggregator similar to techmeme. When I say similar, I mean both sites bring poplar content to the reader. there are hundreds of other feed aggregators out there.
